Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 30 June 2026
Welcome to Maison Du Paw. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the booking of any services provided by Maison Du Paw, including pet sitting, dog walking, home visits, overnight care, daycare, pet transport, and other agreed pet care services.
By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of Our Website
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our website or make a booking.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with the operation, security, or accessibility of the website.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided through our website, enquiry forms, or booking requests is accurate and up to date.
2. Our Services
Maison Du Paw provides personalised pet care services, which may include dog walking, pet sitting, overnight stays, full-time care, doggy daycare, home visits, feeding visits, adventure outings, medication administration, pet transport (where agreed), wedding and event pet attendance, and other customised pet care services.
All bookings are subject to availability, location, suitability of your pet, and acceptance by Maison Du Paw.
Maison Du Paw reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where we believe we cannot safely or appropriately care for a pet.
3. Bookings, Deposits and Payments
A booking is not confirmed until Maison Du Paw has accepted it and a non-refundable 50% deposit has been received. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For long-term bookings, Maison Du Paw may approve an alternative payment schedule at its discretion.
Prices may vary depending on the number of pets, breed and size, temperament and behaviour, service type, booking duration, travel requirements, public holidays, special care requirements, and any additional services requested.
Maison Du Paw reserves the right to charge additional fees for extended bookings, emergency veterinary transport, emergency supply purchases, additional cleaning, property damage caused by a pet, and any care provided outside the original booking agreement.
Late payments may incur reasonable administration or recovery costs where permitted by law.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please notify Maison Du Paw as soon as possible.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable, as your booking dates are reserved exclusively for your pet and may not be able to be filled at short notice.
Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the scheduled booking may incur up to 100% of the total booking fee, particularly where Maison Du Paw has been unable to secure an alternative booking.
Early collection of your pet, or an early return from your trip, does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
If Maison Du Paw is required to cancel due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, unsuitable pet behaviour, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss suitable alternatives where available.
5. Pet Health and Behaviour
Owners are responsible for ensuring their pet is in good general health before using our services.
Owners confirm that they have disclosed any information relevant to the safe care of their pet, including medical conditions, current medications, allergies, dietary requirements, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, escape tendencies, previous bite history, behavioural concerns, and any other special care requirements.
Pets should be up to date with vaccinations and appropriate flea, tick and worm prevention where applicable.
Maison Du Paw reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet poses an unacceptable risk to people, other animals, property, or themselves.
6. Veterinary Care
If your pet becomes ill, injured, or requires urgent veterinary attention while in our care, Maison Du Paw will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.
If you cannot be contacted and immediate treatment is considered necessary, you authorise Maison Du Paw to seek veterinary care on your behalf.
All veterinary fees, medications, transport costs and associated expenses remain the responsibility of the pet owner. Maison Du Paw is not responsible for decisions made by treating veterinarians.
7. Owner Responsibilities
Owners agree to provide everything necessary for the safe care of their pet, including medication, specific food, feeding instructions, emergency contacts, veterinary details, and safe access to the property where applicable.
Owners remain responsible for any loss, damage, injury or additional costs caused by their pet during the booking.
8. Access to Property
Where services are provided at the owner's home, owners agree to provide Maison Du Paw with safe and lawful access to the property.
Maison Du Paw is not responsible for losses arising from faulty locks, alarm systems, power failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Owners are responsible for ensuring the property is safe for those providing care.
9. Photos and Social Media
Maison Du Paw enjoys sharing special moments with our furry clients. With your permission, photographs and videos of your pet may be used on our website, social media platforms, or promotional materials.
We will never intentionally publish your personal address, phone number, or other sensitive personal information.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by notifying us.
10. Limitation of Liability
Maison Du Paw will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing our services. However, pet care involves inherent risks, including illness, injury, escape, behavioural incidents, accidents, and interactions with other animals or members of the public.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maison Du Paw is not liable for any loss, injury, illness, escape, death, property damage, veterinary expenses, delays, or other damages except where directly caused by our proven negligence or unlawful conduct.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maison Du Paw, its owners, employees and contractors against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages or expenses arising from your pet's behaviour, information that was inaccurate or withheld, damage caused by your pet, or your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
12. Force Majeure
Maison Du Paw will not be liable for any delay or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, government restrictions, pandemics, power outages, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the Maison Du Paw website, including text, photographs, videos, graphics, branding, logos and designs, remains the property of Maison Du Paw unless otherwise stated.
No material may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used without prior written permission.
14. Third-Party Services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, booking systems, payment providers, or social media platforms.
Maison Du Paw is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party services.
15. Changes to These Terms
Maison Du Paw may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updated version will be published on our website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
Your continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
17. Insurance
Maison Du Paw is fully insured for the pet care services we provide, giving our clients added peace of mind while their pets are in our care.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every pet, owners acknowledge that pet care involves inherent risks. Our insurance is maintained in accordance with applicable requirements; however, it does not remove the owner's responsibilities under these Terms and Conditions, including responsibility for veterinary expenses, damage caused by their pet, or matters outside the scope of our insurance coverage.
Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.
